Entrepreneurial
Training
The EBCRC assists entrepreneurs
with training and information on the latest tools and procedures for
running a growing business. Small business development courses may
be recommended.
Marketing and Sales Training
The EBCRC assists businesses with
the development of marketing and sales skills and strategies in becoming
more proficient in identifying, defining, and targeting their customer
base.
Contracting and Procurement Services
The EBCRC provides on-going
contracting/procurement business support services to help identify
contract/procurement opportunities for businesses. The EBCRC also
promotes an annual Opportunities in Contracting conference. This
conference attracts billions of dollars in small contracting opportunities
and the key decision makers from the private and public sectors.
This event is an excellent networking opportunity to build partnerships
and identify new market and contract/procurement opportunities.
Legal Services
The EBCRC provides legal
assistance to businesses and helps them establish
appropriate legal corporate structure, assist with broiler plate contract development
and other related legal matters.
Accounting Services
The EBCRC provides accounting technical assistance to businesses such
as: accounting software recommendations and/or installations, appropriate
business accounting principals, business tax preparations and assistance
in setting up appropriate accounting procedures.
Lease Negotiation Services
The EBCRC assists businesses in
lease negotiations of commercial real estate, and any other space
available on former military bases in Alameda County.
Permits, Licensing and Certification Services
The EBCRC provides certification
assistance to businesses in order to obtain certifications such as: City
of Oakland, CALTRANS, Port of Oakland, Small Disadvantage Business (SDB),
8(a) and many other certifications. The EBCRC also assists
businesses in identifying and applying for appropriate business permits
and license.
Website and E-commerce Services
The EBCRC provides businesses
with information and training on e-commerce opportunities and web site
development that will enhance their marketing and outreach strategies for
business development.
Mentor Protégé
The EBCRC provides mentor protégé assistance between new and small
businesses with established business to help them develop partnerships in
their industry.
Workshops and Seminars
The EBCRC provides seminars and
workshops to businesses on a range of business topics such as: marketing
and procurement, e-commerce, tax preparation, employee relations and many
other business related topics.
